I design software that has to work with hardware: cameras, LiDAR, whatever the phone can actually do. On Pro3 and Axis I designed the device as well as the app. Most of it happened on small teams where there was no PM between me and the engineers.
At Polycam I run product and design for the core product: capture, 3D, and computer vision on iOS, Android, and Vision Pro. I write the PRDs, set the quarterly plan across six engineering teams, and design the work. Scenes, the first creative tool, went from concept to shipped in two months, and its paywall converts over 200% better than the next one. Object capture had the worst numbers in the app, so I rebuilt it around real-time guidance, and trial graduation went from 7.89% to 22%.
Before that, I spent four years at Matterport working on mobile and hardware. I owned product definition for Pro3, the $5K LiDAR camera: one button, a 256×256 display, and the companion app, designed so all three agreed on what the camera was doing. I moved pairing from WiFi to BLE so professionals never had to leave the app to connect. $13.6M in the first year. I led product and industrial design on Axis, a motorized phone mount that went from proof of concept to launch in six months, cut churn 85%, and won a Japan Good Design Award. Cloud Sync had been off the roadmap for years. I pulled the support data, made the case, and shipped it with one engineer. On Genesis, Matterport's generative AI strategy, I led design and presented the three-year vision to the board. I'm a named inventor on the patent that came out of it.
At Sureify I was employee 11 and the second designer. I owned design and scope on a configuration tool that let insurance carriers change their applications in hours instead of the two-to-three-week engineering cycle it took before. When the first approach went sideways, I redefined the MVP and built the handoff process for a distributed engineering team. The core application redesign lifted conversion 180%.
What I bring
Hardware ships once. On Pro3 and Axis the spec had to be right before the mold was cut, so I wrote it at the level a factory needs.
I find the problem. Cloud Sync wasn't on any roadmap. I found it in the support tickets, made the case, and shipped it with one engineer.
I run without a full team. The research, the financial model, and the exec deck for Cloud Sync were mine, because there was nobody else to do them.
I learn the domain. Insurance underwriting at Sureify. LiDAR and firmware at Matterport. Enterprise access control at Polycam.
I've built the design side of a team. Crit, the design system, hiring loops, mentoring. At Polycam that's me and one other designer, and I own the design roadmap.
Where the work happened
Polycam, 2024 to now. 3D scanning app on iOS, Android, web, and Vision Pro. I run product and design for the core product: the PRDs, the quarterly plan across six engineering teams, and the design work. Also the launches: positioning, decks, campaigns, and the dashboards that say whether it worked.
Matterport, 2020 to 2024. 3D capture platform. Went public, then sold to CoStar for $1.6B. Staff Product Designer, then Product Design Manager, on mobile and hardware.
Sureify, 2019 to 2020. White-label life insurance software. Employee 11 and the second designer.

Japan Good Design Award (Best 100, 2022) — Axis was recognized alongside the Xbox Adaptive Controller, Nissan Ariya, and Magic Leap 2.
USPTO Patent — Named inventor on Matterport's Genesis defurnishing patent, covering the AI system for removing interior elements from 3D spaces.
